types of kimono.
着物は、基本的に「染め」と「織り」の２つのカテゴリーに分ける事ができます。
「染」は白生地に染め加工がされており、「織」は染めた糸を織り上げています。
kimono can be categorized in two types as far as material.
one is dyed kimono and the other is weaved kimono.
besides category, there are different kinds and class of kimono.
different class of kimono:
●Tomesode:
a first grade Full dress worn by married woman.
one example of Tomesode.
●Furisode:
a first grade Full dress worn by single woman.
●Houmongi:
a second grade Full dress.
worn at tea ceremony.
can be worn at marridge ceremony.
usually has one or three family crest.
continuous design over seam.
design faces up.
●Tsukesage:
a third grade Full dress
continuous design over seam.
design faces up.
one example of Tsukesage after it has been unsewn.
design is over seam.
●Komon:
worn in town
continuous pattern dyed.
Komon is most commonly worn. LOL.

●Tsumugi:
worn in town
waved.
●Yukata:
most casual of all.
Yukata or Yukatabira literally means a 'bath gown'
It is worn as casual summer cloth.
a simplest form of kimono, and usually made from cotton or hemp.

one example of Jyuban. Naga-Jyuban means long underwear.
●Haori：
Jacket.
proper ceremonial wear for man.

ねずみ。
タイトル：ねずみ
余った着物の端切れを、ワインボトルや酒瓶のラッピングなどに活用すれば、
招待された場などにお土産として持って行くときに、一味違ったお土産になりますネ。
風呂敷の使い方も、色々な本が出てますが、知っておくと案外面白いものですよ
お店も治療院も明日から営業です。
店長はベトナムに行ってきたそうです。
院長は白浜で、自分は高野山に行ってきました。
お墓参りの後、京都で大文字も見れて、充実したお盆を過ごせました。

残布パッチワーク・モザイク調
着物をリメイク・リフォームした後に残る端切れ（残布）は、
正方形に揃え切り、繋ぎ合わせる事で、再度大きな布になり、原材料へと復活します。
つなぎ合わせる時の注意点は、出来れば同じ種類の生地どうし（絹、ウール、etc..）で組み合わせて行く方が、縫製も楽ですし、出来上がってからの洗濯の仕方も統一されます。
生地によって伸縮率が違うので、同じ寸法の正方形に揃えていても、縫製時にずれ込む事があります。
接点を意識して、一枚分の伸びは、一枚分内でカバーしながら縫い繋げていくと良いと思われます。
後、布の縦横は統一しておいた方が縫いやすいとも思われます。

絵羽合わせ。
訪問着や、付け下げ訪問着、 付け下げなどの場合は、
反物の時から、着用時に模様がすべて上を向くように描いてあります。
最近の付け下げには、訪問着のような絵羽模様タイプなども良く見られます。
絵羽模様は裁ち目部分で模様がつながる様に絵が描かれていますので、
解けば、また絵がつながる様に縫製しないと、絵羽を無駄にしてしまいかねません。
絵羽を綺麗に戻すには、躾もしくはピン打ちで絵を合わせ、ミシン時に様子を伺いながら丁寧にペダルを踏むのが良いと思われます。
